There was an interview with the prominent horror director, Hideo Nakata. He explain his involvement in the horror genre and how the hell he's become so damn good at it!

If you're not familiar with this great director, then I suggest you go watch some movies or something because you seem like you crawled your way out of a hole and came to read this post! ( Of course, I'm kidding so don't take this seriously! ).

Nakata-san, is famous for horror movies, but the most famous ones are: Ringu ( or its western adaptation "The Ring" ) and "Dark Water". If you happened to have seen one of these movies, then you must know what a brilliant director he really is! One memorable thing about these movies is that they were freakin' scary! In my honest opinion, they redefine the horror genre!

Come to think of it, since when is killing people, chopping them to pieces, and then find some more people to slaughter and then just happen to be killed by the movie's chick! I mean, C'mon!!
I don't see these movies as horror, because if they're anything, they're remotely far from ever being scary!

So, "The Ring" and "Dark Water" are both bloody scary! And Nakata-san manages to scare the crap out of the audience without ever using mindless blood splattering just because the maniac's mum didn't give him milk before going to bed or some bloody lame reason!

I hope you enjoy this interview, here's the link.
